I was the primary caregiver for my aunt who died in her own bed at age 99. My parents weren't that lucky. I just finished reading a wonderfully moving book written by a geriatrician describing the challenges caring for the aging as he also is caring for his father, deteriorating. "Memory Lessons" by Jerald Winakur, M.D. Beautifully written and eloquent.
